Adding
multiple audio to the same project
Open
the File menu
and select Import,
which opens a submenu- select Audio
there. Find your audio file and select it. Audacity will add it as a
new track. In this way you can add multiple audio tracks for audio
editing (eg. Voice, music, sound
effects
etc.).
Remember
to keep saving your project so that you don't lose your changes.
When
editing multiple tracks, it's good to mute some of the tracks (and
un-mute them later as well).
As
shown below each track has its own ''Mute'' button. Click it to mute
the track. Then
click again to un-mute that track.
You
can also rename the individual tracks
.Click
on the downward arrow as shown below,
and
select name. You can then type the new name for your track.
Before
export to mp3 format, you need to delete any unwanted tracks. To
delete a track, click on the top left corner of the track (to the
left of the track name) as shown below.
As
shown below, you have four different tracks. This is an example of
audacity project in which interviews with 3 different persons were
mixed together with the voice of the interviewer.
