                                                   Selecting a brush

A brush in MyPaint can be selected in different ways

First method

• Click on the Brush menu> Brush list editor.

• A brush window displaying one set of brushes will open. There are a total of 6 sets – Classic, Experimental, Favourites, Set#1, Set#2 and Set#3. Click on the on the desired brush set (Classic, Experimental, Set#1, Set#2 or Set#3) with the left mouse button to select the brush set. The selected brush set name is highlighted. Here the brushes in Set#2 is displayed. The desired brush can be selected by clicking on it.

• There is a favourites brush category, in which you can group your frequently used brushes. Left click on any brush and drag it over the favourites category to create your own brush group.

Second method

The second method of selecting a brush is by clicking on the current brush icon on the

graphical tool bar (as shown below) and then navigate to the desired brush set using the left

and right arrow keys and select your brush.

Third method

Shortcut Key: Press B to open the Brush list.
