Creating composite image by using layer masks:
1. Open GIMP on your System.
2. Go to file, then choose “open as layer”.

3. Find &select your file and press ok.

4. Now go to layer and select “scale layer”(if you like).
5. Again go to file, then choose “open as layer”
6. Choose your second image and press ok.
7. Scale second image to proportion of first image.
8. Select second layer. Reduce its opacity.
9. Add layer mask by going to layer tab then mask then add layer mask.
10. Select brush. And hover it on the portion of ostrich layer (layer 2) you want to keep.
11. Now select donkey layer (layer 1) and add mask layer.
12. Select brush. And brush on the area of layer 1, you want to remove.
13. Final output.
