1. Install stellarium software before beginning the class.
In order to understand the universe in a better way different planetarium software can be used. There are various softwares but one of the best known software is Stellarium as it is a simulation software which is a free open source planetarium for computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D view simply by adjusting the location, coordinates. This interactive planetarium program allows you to explore the night sky from any location on earth, at any time of the year. This tool can effectively be used as an educational tool to learn about the night sky, as well as a tool for planning observations through a telescope. It is well suited as a source for understanding the celestial sphere, and the seasonal movement of astronomical objects across the sky.
The default installation (current version 0.16.0) contains over default catalogue of over 600,000 stars as well as default catalogue of over 80,000 deep-sky objects and images, constellations for 20+ different cultures, images of nebulae (full Messier catalogue), realistic Milky Way very realistic atmosphere, sunrise, sunset, the planets and their satellites. Stellarium is also expandable, with a many free plug-ins and educational resources available for download. In addition, Stellarium includes a basic scripting interface that allows custom simulations to be created by the user. Stellarium is provided as an open-source project. Its source code is available and is freely modifiable and redistributable as per the GNU Public License.
