Handling
Browser Exceptions
While
browsing through the internet, some errors might occur. Due to these
errors, web pages might not be displayed either partially or
completely. The browser displays messages to inform the user that a
particular error has occurred. But please note that same errors may
be worded differently in different browsers. Some of such errors are
explained below:
1.
Page can’t be displayed / This site Can’t be reached
This
message appears in the browser window when internet speed is too slow
to open a page or the main input line of network to the internet
device is disconnected. To show this message to the students, the
teachers may switch off the main network switch of the computer lab
and then open a web page.

provider(ISP) is not operational or the ISP server is down.
To
show this error to the students, go to network settings and disable
the adapter by right clicking on it. Now open the browser window and
type the URL of any website in the address bar. The error will be
displayed on the browser.

This
error is displayed when the page requested was previously stored on
the web server but presently it has been removed or deleted from the
web server.
6.
Heavily loaded page getting slow to download
This

-
It may occur when the size of the requested web page is large due to presence of lot of graphic content (especially high definition images and videos) on the web page. Such web pages take lot of time to download. Hence the error is displayed in the web browser.
ii. When
the download speed of internet connection is very less, then also
the requested web page takes more time to be displayed in the
browser window. This results in the error message – Heavily loaded
page getting slow to download.
