Overlaying of Image on a image
Open Gimp then go to the File menu > New. Give the required name for the template, and size of the page.

Click on the "File" heading in its toolbar. Select and "Open" the file heading's context menu to browse your computer then open the image that is to be used as your base .

Click on the File heading and select "Open" option again to select the image you'd like to use as your overlay. Click on the "Edit" option in the toolbar of the second window and then select the "Copy" option in its context menu.

Click on the "Edit" bar original window's toolbar and then select the "Paste" option from its context menu to transpose the overlay image from Windows' clipboard onto the base image. Click on the center of the overlay image and drag it into place.
