Context: Ask students what type of landforms we find in southern part of India?
We can find this answer through digital maps as it has various map views.
To get to a place via different means of transportation we need street map view and to explore various earth features such as relief, slopes, water bodies we need satellite view. Now observe the different map views and find out what we can conclude.
1. Exploring different map views
a. Go to Settings from the menu bar, select Panels and click on Map View.
b. In the Map View Select the Theme as Atlas view. (Note: It may be the default view)
c. In the Map view select the theme as Satellite view.
d. In the Map view select the theme as Open Street view.
e. There are various other view to explore such as Precipitation, Temperature, Earth at Night, etc. You can view and demonstrate the same using the above method of changing the views.
