Internet- Accessing And Saving Images

Accessing And Saving Images

Searching Images

There are several platforms on the web from where images can be accessed. To access an image related to the topic of your interest follow the given steps:
Step 1: Open a web browser. For example: "Mozilla firefox".

Through the browser, you can either directly go to the website where you want the image from or you can use search engines like Google or Bing to search for the required image. Search engines like Google and Bing offer a separate option of "images" where one can make purely image-based searches.

For example, let us search for images related to 'universe'.Type keywords as 'images of universe' in the search bar and click on search tool. The search result will be displayed as shown below in which results other than images are also shown.

Or when it is clear that only images need to be searched then use the google image search option. To do this, type universe in the search bar and click on 'images tab' Or select image tab first and then type "Universe" and click on the search symbol. This gives a result as shown below in which only images are shown.

To see the enlarged image, click on the image.

Saving images

Images can be saved by right-clicking on the image and then by selecting 'save image as' from the drop down list.

The following window will appear. Select the location where the image needs to be saved. Give appropriate name and then click on save option. The image gets saved in the respective location.

Copying URL of the image

To copy the URL of an image, right click on the image and select 'copy image location' and paste the image wherever you would like to save it. A Text editor could be used to save the URL. So, in this way images can be saved directly or the URL of the image can be saved which can be referenced later.
