Online learning involves taking a course via a computer having an internet 
connection.  
Though online students don't get the face-to-face experiences of a typical 
on-campus student, there are many benefits and advantages to online
learning.

Benefits of online course:

1.    Convenient Schedule- Users are not tied down to a fixed schedule. 
Classroom and instructor (theoretically) are available 24 hours a day, seven
days a week so the student can participate in class whenever it's most 
convenient.
2.    Financial Savings- Apart from buying a computer and paying for Internet, 
user save on other expenses like commuting expenses etc. Many online courses
 are also available for free.  
3.    Flexibility: All lectures and needed materials are provided via online platforms
 so content accessibility is not limited to any one place or time. One can access 
lessons,video clips and audio libraries from anywhere, including public places 
and moving buses and trains.
4.    Increased student’s engagement: Usually the course content is interactive 
and includes online quizzes, assessments, reflections etc. to increase student
engagement.
5.    Greater accessibility: It eliminates barriers and borders, giving everyone the
 opportunity to have access to education.

6.    Enhanced interaction: Online learning gives users a chance to interact with peers

 peers across nations or even different continents. This offers even shy or introvert

 students a chance to participate in discussions.

7.    More choice of course topics: Studying online offers greater choice of courses
 to select from to users.  User can focus on the subject of his/her interest and choose
 from the varietyof online courses and programs.
