Bar
Chart
A bar chart shows
horizontal bars. The length of each bar is proportional to its value.
The Y-axis
shows categories and
the X-axis shows the value for each category. The subtypes for bar
charts
are the same as for
column charts, given above.
Bar charts are
excellent for giving an immediate visual impact for data comparison
in cases when
time is not an
important factor, for example,
For comparing the
marks of students in a class, if we take the data of the marks of
some students in class and plot the bar graph then we can clearly
compare their performance by seeing bar graph.

Select the data in the spreadsheet.

Select chart from insert option in the menu bar and open the chart wizard.

Select the option Bar under the chart type and click on finish.

The bar graph gets displayed in the spreadsheet.
By default it
displays a 2D bar. Incase you wish to visualise it in 3D, then check
the box against 3D and select the shape. For example, here the shape
is selected as ‘cylinder’
Then the bar graph
gets displayed as shown below
